WHAT IS A MENTOR MEETUP?

The Mentor Meetup is an experiential program that connects professionals from across disciplines with one another in a serendipitous and high-impact way. Currently the Mentor Meetup focuses on two disciplines: Tech Talent and Sales & Marketing Professionals at all levels.

The goal of Mentor Meetup events is to:

  • Obtain critical career advice

  • Form short- & long-term mentoring partnerships

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Participants register for each event as a mentor or mentee. As a mentee, once you arrive at the event you’ll be assigned a table with approximately 3-4 other participants. As a mentor, you’ll be assigned a starting point and will rotate tables every 10-15 minutes providing coaching and mentoring advice. The Mentor Meetup happens every month-ish and the target group of professionals rotates.

We know that great mentoring doesn't happen overnight or within 15 minutes, but through our speed mentorship sessions we hope to set the foundation for Toronto’s tech community to build long-lasting mentoring partnerships.
